Maya Sabatello Awarded Tenure
We are thrilled to announce that Associate Professor Maya Sabatello, LLB, PhD, has been granted tenure at the Departments of Medicine and Medical Humanities and Ethics. This marks a significant milestone in her distinguished career, reflecting her substantial contributions to the fields of disability rights, translational genomic research, and the ethical use of big data and artificial intelligence in both clinical and non-clinical settings.
Associate Professor Sabatello's work is at the forefront of integrating ethical considerations with cutting-edge scientific advancements. Her research primarily focuses on the implications of genomic information and AI in healthcare, particularly concerning issues of accessibility, consent, and privacy for individuals with disabilities.

Associate Professor Sabatello holds a joint appointment with the Center for Precision Medicine and Genomics within the Department of Medicine. She is also the Co-Director of the Precision Medicine: Ethics, Politics, and Culture Project, which aims to explore the societal implications of genomic and AI technologies in medicine.
